My Story Charming Hotel Augusta is equipped with HANDY Stool

06.03.2019 | Hospitality

The hotel chain My Story Charming has just opened a new hotel in Lisbon (Portugal), the Hotel Augusta, for which they wanted to have HANDY Stool, designed by Stephen Philips (ARUP) for Sellex. Specifically, the HANDY Stool has been used to equip the rooms of the new hotel, where, in addition to being used as seat or auxiliary table, the stool becomes another decorative element.

My Story Charming is a Portuguese hotel chain that, with this last opening, has four hotels in Lisbon. On this occasion, the chain has rehabilitated an old building of one of the best known streets of Lisbon. Rua Augusta is the main artery resulting from the Lisbon urban planning after the earthquake of 1755. This street connects two iconic points, the Praça do Comércio and the Praça D. Pedro IV (Rossio). And there, since the last month of December, we can find the Augusta Hotel, a cosy accommodation with 47 rooms (double and single) available.

HANDY, much more than a stool

This is one of the first project where HANDY Stool is present. Keep in mind that it is an auxiliary furniture element presented at the last ORGATEC Fair, where its reception was really good. Since then, this design by Stephen Philips has not stopped giving good news and no wonder. It is a multifunctional stool suitable for almost all type of facilities and offers a lot of advantages as stool or as side table. It is stackable up to 20 units, lightweight, easy to use and with a space beneath that can be used to store bulks (bags, rucksacks...).

HANDY also adapts easily to any environment thanks to the wide range of finishes available, in order to adapt its design to the space where it will be placed.

This is just a starting point and soon we will see HANDY Stool in new facilities, placed in leisure or work spaces.
