Categories: Chapels and Funeral Houses
Mengibar's Funeral House (Spain) has selected SUMA modular Seating ( designed by Gemma Bernal ) as the Bench for the Chapel.
In this occasion SUMA series has been used to equip the chapel. SELLEX has the experience of having equipped other chapels, churches and funeral houses with two of his seating benches: AERO Bench (designed by Lievore Altherr Molina ) and VACANTE Bench (designed by Enric Miralles ).
Mengibar's funeral house was inaugurated last September after four months of works to reach the second phase. The premises have been extended thinking of the changes experienced in habits recently. For this purpose, a next to door building has been constructed taking a surface of roundabout 3.200m2 and an investment of aproximately 3 M Euros. The new building connects directly with the actual one through a covered gangway and counts on a multi-religious room which has been equipped with SUMA modular Seating .
The project has been carried out by DTR Studio S.L, and led by Architects José Miguel Vázquez and José Maria Olmedo.
For that purpose, they have counted on SUMA modular Seating that fulfills the functions as Bench for Chapel as well as Bench with multi-purpose seat, combining its smart design with a refined ergonomics.
SELLEX is a leader in the design furniture and the equipment for churches and chapels.
Besides Mengibar's funeral house, its benches for chapels have furnished Santa Clara Church in Vitoria (Spain) or Ringsted funeral house in Denmark, among others.
