Tables for small spaces
Small spaces also deserve to have a good design and adapted furniture, to be decorated with style and to count on the same products than those of bigger dimensions. At SELLEX, we are concerned about it and try to give solutions to meet with the requirements of each installation, either big or small. In this sense, small spaces, demand very concrete solutions: folding beds and bunk beds, foldable tables and double faced shelving units. In summury, furniture that takes very little room. This time, we are going to talk about one of those items, the table. Which are the most suitable ones for small spaces?
The first idea that comes to our mind is that of a folding table. To have it at hand whenever we need it, and to keep it while it is not used, seems to be very practical. That's why we have been offering in our catalogue for the last years, FAST Table, one of our bestsellers thanks to its singular and polyvalent design, created by Carlos Tíscar. It is a table system which enables to combine different sizes and shapes of tops with just one frame, configurating several options and occupying very little space, easy to assamble as no tools are required.
This table is often used at spaces where different kind of events take place: hotel rooms organizing either a seminar or a meal celebration; rooms at schools requiring to give a training course today and a different kind of meeting on the next; or offices at companies which are prepared as a workplace but also needs to serve for meeting with the team work
Another table that may turn to be very useful at small instalations is FLY Table which even if it is not foldable, its measures are very suitable for small spaces. The top is made of MDF in several finishings, all of them texturized and in three dimensions, being the smalles one of 140x70cm.
Should we need an auxiliary furniture, we can make our choice for STILL Coffee Table, designed by Burkhard Vogtherr, ideal lounge areas in offices and workplaces, which usually don't have a lot of room. The top is in tempered transparent glass and the mínimum size of 70cmm. Another similar option maybe EKER Coffee Table, a design of Lievore Altherr Molina, being the tempered glass opaque and vitrified. Sizes are 70x70cm.
On the other hand, MIX Auxiliary Table (design OTS) offers a wooden top, either MDF lacquered or oakwood. It is a complete series of auxiliary tables in different shapes and sizes. Being round and oval versions the smallest ones, also ideal for waiting areas.
It is though clear that small spaces don't mean necessarily lack of design.
