COVID-19: Protective screens for benches

22.05.2020 | Product

The protective screens for the AERO, SLAM and BILDU Benches, which allow the recommended social distance between users, are now available.

The COVID-19 pandemic is changing our habits and generating new needs for which we have sought solutions. For this reason, with the intention of responding to these new demands and collaborating in the fight against COVID-19, we present a separation system between the seats for the AERO, SLAM and BILDU Benches.

These screens will allow us to maintain that social distance that is so necessary to stop the spread of the virus and so difficult to obtain in a bench. It is a fast and versatile solution that helps reduce the risk of contagion. It is our way of supporting our clients in this situation of uncertainty, providing simple and effective solutions, without requiring a large investment.

A temporary accessory

The screens have a height that goes from the head to the seat. They are made of methacrylate, with a thickness of about 6 mm and a height close to the meter (depending on the model). They are placed on the benches as a temporary accessory so that, once the pandemic is over, we can remove them and keep the seats in their original format. The bracket that supports them is made of steel sheets pierced by laser and welded together, painted in RAL 9006 grey.

In the AERO Bench, the screen may be placed on the benches that are already being used in their final location, if the benches have arms. This is possible because the connecting piece between bench and screen is fixed in the place where the arms are placed. Therefore, it is necessary to remove the arms and put the screen in place. This clever solution allows the use of the screens to be somewhat temporary and, when we have overcome the pandemic, we can replace the screens with the arms, if we want.

In the case of the SLAM Bench, the screens can be fixed whether it has arms or not. It must be taken into account that, if the bench has arms, it is necessary to remove them to fix the screen. As in the case of the AERO Bench, the solution can be temporary and allows us to replace the screens with the arms in the future or to leave the bench without screens and without arms At the BILDU Bench the solution is the same as that indicated for the AERO Bench. Therefore, it is also necessary to remove the arms and put the screens in place

At the BILDU Bench the solution is the same as that indicated for the AERO Bench. Therefore, it is also necessary to remove the arms and put the screens in place. Once again, the solution provided allows the use of the screens to be somewhat temporary.

It is not necessary to say that in all cases (AERO, SLAM and BILDU) it is possible to order new benches with screens. Having the possibility, once the pandemic is over, to replace the screens by arms (in the case of the AERO and BILDU benches) or decide whether to leave the bench with or without arms (in the case of the SLAM Bench).
