Fritidsparken, the hotel that prioritizes rest

Fritidsparken Hotel, Skien (Norway)
Skien fritidspark is one of the most complete sports and leisure parks in Norway. The complex has a water and climbing park, sports halls, an ice rink and hiking trails around it; proposing a range of activities that last throughout the year.
Its origins go back to the end of the 1960s but it was not until 2008 that it became Skien fritidspark.
The philosophy of this activity park is based on the fact that life is enjoyed more with good health and this, in turn, is built on three pillars: exercise, food and rest. Although the first of the three, exercise, takes place in its extensive sports and leisure facilities; the other two have the hotel as their nerve centre.
Bright rooms in an accessible hotel
The Hotel Fritidsparken seeks to accommodate all types of public, from families and groups of friends, through companies and business trips. This breadth of profiles goes through offering accessible facilities without architectural barriers.
The rooms stand out for their luminosity and rest is paramount. It is precisely at this point that the LA LITERAL Folding Bed comes into play, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina for SELLEX, which has furnished several of its rooms.
The inherent versatility of hospitality facilities, where it is essential to reduce or increase the availability of beds depending on the profile of the guest, requires functional and convertible furniture. Many times this is solved through extra beds that are not always comfortable when folding the mattress. LA LITERAL, on the other hand, is a program of beds with different configurations that fold down to take up less space, but where the mattress remains intact.
For SELLEX it is an honour to have equipped this hotel aimed at improving the health and quality of life of its guests.
