Hotel Fleur de Loire, an accommodation “with a joyful soul”

On the banks of the Loire River, in the French town of Blois, Gaston d'Orléans designed this majestic 17th century building which for years housed a hospice, until in 2022 it became the Hotel Fleur de Loire, an accommodation 'with a joyful soul'. This is how the owners define this hotel, which seems to sink its roots in the water and which opens wide onto the landscape of the Loire, offering a moment of disconnection.

The decoration of its 44 rooms (11 of them suites) is inspired precisely by the nature that surrounds the building, conveying a sense of tranquillity that enraptures guests.

The 'culprit' that we can enjoy this magnificent place to disconnect is Caroline Tissier, architect and interior designer specialized mainly in the world of hotels and restaurants. Comfort, design and attractiveness are words always present in their projects. Caroline avoids standardisation and seeks personalisation, through a tailor-made approach for its clients. This is how she achieves such personal and unique projects.

Caroline has succeeded in bringing together the landscape elements and modern luxury hotel codes in the Hotel Fleur de Loire, and the result is sublime. The elegance of the décor is accentuated by the use of natural raw materials, as a reminder of the movements of the banks of the Loire.

Sellex on the banks of the Loire

Like almost every self-respecting hotel, Fleur de Loire also has multi-purpose rooms which, in this case, have been equipped with Sellex furniture for events and hospitality: the FAST Table, designed by Carlos Tíscar, and the SLAM Chair, by Lievore Altherr Molina.

In particular, twenty FAST Tables of various sizes with white tops have been installed. As for the SLAM Chair, the chosen one was the Sled version of which around 50 pieces were installed, with a white frame and upholstered shell.

The aesthetics of both products was one of the qualities that led Caroline Tissier to choose FAST and SLAM for the project of this majestic hotel. 'We chose FAST for its modularity, solidity and aesthetic qualities,' explains the decorator. As for the SLAM Chair, she says that, in addition to its aesthetics, she liked 'its practicality'. 'This model is a good combination of a stackable chair for multipurpose spaces, which is therefore easy to store, and a chair with an elegant design', adds Caroline.
