Zirkularrak' Exhibition, 20 years of ecodesign

The 'Zirkularrak-Circulares' Exhibition brings together more than 140 circular products manufactured in the Basque Country (Spain), belonging to sectors of activity such as machinery, the automotive industry, consumer goods and furniture. The exhibition focuses on the ecodesign methodologies applied in their manufacture and which, therefore, have substantially reduced their environmental impact. Sellex has participated with the NEST Chair designed by Jordi Pla, the MASS Chair by Javier Cuñado from ITEMdesignworks and the HANDY Stool by Stephen Philips (ARUP).

The itinerant nature of the exhibition, in addition to bringing citizens closer to a commitment to the circular economy through eco-design that has been going on for 20 years, serves as a common thread for other events located in the Basque Country. This is the case of its inauguration at the end of September in Vitoria-Gasteiz, which coincided with the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the European Green Capital. Or the recently concluded Basque Circular Summit held at the Ficoba Exhibition Centre in Irun, which under the slogan 'Walking the talk' aims to become the largest event on ecodesign and circular economy in Southern Europe.

Throughout 2023, the rest of the sites that will host the exhibition will be defined, always within the framework of the European Green Deal, which aims to be the first climate-neutral continent.

Sellex participation in this exhibition is just one example of our commitment to the environment. A responsibility to the future that is materialised through the implementation of the Environmental Management System (UNE-EN ISO 14001:2015 standard) and Ecodesign Methodology (UNE-EN ISO 14006:2011), the 5-year Warranty and the launch of the Range 100/100, manufactured with 100% recyclable materials and 100% recycled polypropylene; among other actions. But this will is at the heart of our honest design furniture, for its timeless character that lasts beyond fashions and trends. Because only good design is sustainable.
