Nacar Design

Nacar Design is a strategic design agency founded in Barcelona in 2006 by industrial designers Jaume Jané and Bern Donadeu.

From the outset, the studio has adopted an international and multidisciplinary approach, working alongside companies and organisations to define, develop and deliver design solutions that address complex challenges.

Originally rooted in industrial design, Nacar Design has evolved into a broader practice that brings together product design, user experience, digital design, research, technology, engineering and service design. This combination enables the studio to develop physical, digital and hybrid projects, connecting hardware and software to create solutions that are useful, viable and scalable.

Its philosophy is based on a simple principle: design should go beyond form, helping to identify real needs and transform them into meaningful solutions. For Nacar Design, the process begins by understanding the challenge, continues with defining the right solution, and culminates in proposals that create value for people, organisations and businesses.

Over nearly two decades, Nacar Design has built an international team with a presence in Barcelona, Bilbao, Guadalajara, Porto Alegre and Shanghai. With the opening of its Bilbao office in 2022, Javier Cuñado (ITEMdesignworks) joined the team. Through this network of talent, the agency collaborates with companies across a wide range of sectors on innovation, product, service and experience design projects.
