In passenger terminals and public waiting areas, PRM Seats are becoming an increasingly common requirement in project briefs. Designed for people with reduced mobility, they make sitting down and standing up easier, helping to improve the accessibility of public spaces.
Sellex incorporates PRM Seats into a large part of its bench range, with solutions developed according to the architecture of each system. The aim is to integrate them naturally, maintaining the visual continuity and clarity required in contract spaces.
In BILDU, BILDU 2020 and the Beam seating systems (SLAM Beam, SLAM Soft Beam, NEST Beam and KLOK Beam), the solution is based on an elevated seat position. In the AERO Bench, the solution is achieved through thicker upholstered seats and backrests, as well as the option of raising the entire bench.
This approach continues a line of development already present in Sellex products such as the AERO Perch Bench, where the elevated seat allows users to rest while standing during short waiting periods.
The new PRM Seat solutions will be presented at the Hábitat Valencia and ORGATEC trade fairs as part of Sellex’s ongoing dialogue with public facilities that evolve over time.
