Contemporary Art Museum in Medellín (Colombia) counts on AERO Bench for the chillout areas
10.11.2015 | Education
Contemporary Art Museum in Medellín ( MAMM ) has thought of AERO Bench (designed by Lievore Altherr Molina) to equip the chillout areas.
Projected by Arquitectura 51-1 (Perú) and CTRL- G (Colombia), the extension of the Contemporary Art Museum in Medellín (MAMM) ha become a reality.
From a cultural point of view, it is significant that this is the first entirely new built museum in Latin America during the last years and from a social perspective, it means to continue including in the city of Medellín an area which was abandoned, urbanistically speaking.
It highlights by the geometric proposal of the Architects and a large facade combining steel, glass and aluminium. The project consists of a frame structure of 7300 square meters which will serve as a stage for the promotion of culture and contemporary artistic expression.
