World Trade Center Montevideo once again places its trust in AERO

19.09.2023 | Offices

The World Trade Center in Montevideo (Uruguay) is one of the most outstanding works of Kimelman - Flom, an architectural firm that has placed its trust in our AERO Bench (Lievore Altherr Molina) since the construction of what is already the most important business centre in the Uruguayan capital, not to say the country.

The benches of the AERO family have been present throughout the development of the project, being used since the year 2000 in all the public spaces of the complex, both inside and outside.

Thus, our design can be found in WTC 1, WTC 2, WTC 3 and WTC 4, as well as in Free Zone I and Free Zone II. It is precisely the latter, the FZ2, the last one to be equipped with some twenty AERO 4 and 7-seater selfstanding benches, with and without backrest.

Free Zone II, the sixth tower

World Trade Center Montevideo consists of six towers: WTC 1 and WTC 2 (22 floors each), WTC 3 (19 floors), WTC 4 (40 floors), and finally the two Free Zone towers, with 24 and 20 floors respectively.

WTC Montevideo Free Zone is a complex of two first class office towers, which meet all energy efficiency standards and boast the most modern technologies and the best materials.

Two buildings of avant-garde architecture, with large spaces that make the most of natural light thanks to curtain wall façades.

Located next to tower 1, the FZ2 stands out for its modern elliptical format, but also for the design of its hall, where we are greeted by a mural covered in natural mahogany wood slats.

This design by Estudio Sámago gives the space an air of distinction that turns it into something much more than a hall. It is not just a place to pass through, but a place to be. And to be able to do so on our benches is an honour for Sellex. We hope to continue accompanying the project in all the towers to come.
