Sustainability now sits at the heart of the conversation. And rightly so — we talk about recycled materials, renewable energy, and certifications. But at Sellex, we believe it starts even earlier: when design remains relevant over time.

When an object does not need replacing.

When its form, its function and its materials continue to make sense year after year. Because the most sustainable resource is the one that never needs to be consumed again.

Time as a measure of sustainability

For decades, Sellex has worked alongside design professionals, supporting projects conceived to remain relevant. Pieces such as the VACANTE Bench, designed by Enric Miralles more than 30 years ago, are still part of today’s spaces. Not out of nostalgia, but because they still matter.

This way of understanding design is also reflected in concrete decisions: eco-design processes embedded in production, environmental certifications, the Range 100/100 made with 100% recycled and recyclable materials, recycled packaging, renewable energy, and a warranty of 5 years as a commitment to durability.

Beyond Design is about bringing awareness to that journey — understanding where we come from in order to move forward more responsibly. Because designing today also means measuring, evaluating, and continuing to improve.
