Versatility and elegance at Club Cámara Noroeste

This is the new Club Cámara Noroeste, promoted by the A Coruña Chamber of Commerce, whose facilities have been equipped with the MASS Chair and FAST Table by Sellex. A combination conceived to respond to the multiple needs of a dynamic and multifunctional business space, where rapid transformation and space optimisation are essential.

The club’s main auditorium, covering more than 200 m², has been conceived as a highly versatile environment. Its usual configuration combines a small auditorium with four private meeting rooms, although thanks to a system of movable partitions it can be transformed into different layouts to host events for up to 200 people in theatre format or 150 attendees in cabaret layout.

Within this setting, Sellex provides solutions capable of adapting to every configuration. A total of 170 MASS Chairs have been installed — both in the basic version and with arms — together with writing tablets, linking pieces and trolleys for transportation, alongside several FAST demountable Tables measuring 180x80 cm for the meeting rooms.

O Parrote: the regeneration of one of A Coruña’s iconic waterfront areas

Club Cámara Noroeste is located in O Parrote, one of the most emblematic spaces along A Coruña’s waterfront. Situated between La Marina and San Antón Castle, this setting combines historical heritage, business activity and urban life by the sea.

The premises now occupied by the Club form part of a former port area that remained underused for decades following the relocation of the naval workshops in the early 1990s. The gradual recovery of these spaces has transformed the area into a new meeting point for the city.

With more than 1,500 m² of facilities, Club Cámara Noroeste was created with the ambition of becoming a business and social reference point for the entire north-west of the Iberian Peninsula. The project includes meeting rooms, event spaces, catering areas and public spaces, consolidating a contemporary business club model adapted to new forms of professional interaction.

MASS and FAST: solutions for multipurpose spaces

As the Club Cámara Noroeste team explains, they were looking for furniture that combined elegance, functionality and ease of storage, and found all these qualities in MASS and FAST.

The MASS Chair responds particularly well to multifunctional environments thanks to its lightness, durability and ease of stacking. At Club Cámara Noroeste, the installed versions allow the space to be quickly reconfigured for different types of events, from conferences to collaborative working sessions. The possibility of storing and transporting up to 40 chairs, the speed with which they can be distributed and collected using trolleys, and the elegance and quality of their finishes were some of the decisive aspects behind the Club’s choice of the MASS Chair.

The team also highlights the incorporation of removable writing tablets, which further expand its versatility. As they explain, this allows the same chair to be used both for listening formats and for meetings where attendees need to take notes or work.

Meanwhile, the FAST Tables reinforce this idea of flexibility. Their folding system allows configurations to be assembled and dismantled in very little time, while also optimising storage in a space where every square metre is especially valuable.

The result is an elegant and dynamic corporate environment, prepared to evolve continuously according to the needs of each event, demonstrating once again how furniture can become an active part of the architecture of a space.
