SAN JOSE Funeral House's extension building in Burgos has chosen AERO bench
03.09.2013 | Funeral Homes
The extension of SAN JOSE's funeral house in Burgos (Spain) will have AERO bench (designed by Lievore Altherr Molina) equipping its multi-faith room.
SAN JOSE's funeral house has extended its premises thinking of the many changes occurred in traditional habits within last years. With this aim, they have built a next-to-door location that occupies a surface of 3.200 m2 with an investment of roundabout 3 million Euros. The new building which is connected to the current funeral house through a covered walkway, has a multi-faith room equipped with AERO bench.
This new building is a response to the needs arised from non-religious celebrations or other faiths. Therefore, the architects in charge of the project, Luis García Camarero y Antonio García Muñoz, have designed a large bright open space that can accommodate non-religious funeral or acts of other faiths by meeting with all viewpoints and ideologies when the time comes.
The architecture Studio led by Luis García Camarero and Antonio García Muñoz, were awarded by the College of Architects in Burgos for this project. The extension will have a basement meant for a parking, a ground floor whrere the multi-faith room will be located and a first floor with the columbarium.
