Tua Rata is the name of the new building where the offices of the airline Air Tahiti Nui and the Post and Telecommunication Office of the French Polynesia have been placed.
The building, with an area of 14.000m2 spread over 8 flats, houses the offices of both companies as well as an underground car park of 167 spaces. An investment of 3,650 million of CFP francs and the work of 100 people were necessary to carry out the project.
The location of Tua Rata is key because being close to the international airport of Tahiti-Faa’a, it is the first large building seen by tourists. Aware of this, both the architects Beaudet + Regaud and the local authorities agreed that the façade should have local decoration and at the same time, should be integrated in Polynesian landscape.

An interior design that makes you fly
Being in line with the activity of the company, the design of some of the rooms of the offices of Air Tahiti Nui simulate the interior of an airplane. It is precisely one of these meeting rooms which is equipped with SWING Chairs with armrest and 4 castors Base. Due to both its careful aesthetics and its ergonomics, this design by Burkhard Vogtherr and Markus Dörner fits perfectly in Meeting Rooms, Conference Rooms and and Board Directors Meeting Rooms.
