29.05.2017 | Hospitality
The historic Petit Palace Arana Hotel in Bilbao (Spain) has decided on our LA LITERAL bunkbed designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, as part of the equipment furniture of its hotel bedrooms.
Other city hotels like Seville or Madrid, count already with LA LITERAL system for its bedrooms and now this murphy bunkbeds will also be in Bilbao.
Petit Palace Arana Hotel is looking for the possibility to accommodate the whole family with children in the same bedroom and this hotel bunkbeds is just fine for that purpose.
Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr and Manel Molina, knew of this kind of demand in hotels, and they designed LA LITERAL 20 years ago. Being the collaboration between Sellex and this designer team a regular one, this time Lievore Altherr Molina Studio created the folding bunkbed system which has meant a revolution in the hotel market.
Its peculiar system allows LA LITERAL folding bunkbeds to have both confort for a good sleep and more available space in the bedrooms when they are closed.
Besides, it exists the option to cover the hostel bunkbeds sides and so avoid that bed dressing is at sight, which gives a much more ‘tidy' look and creates a cosy and confortable space.
People's traffic at hotels is a non-stopping one and this contract bunkbeds model of quality design, with straight lines, without stridences, confortable and easy maintenance, is really the best option to be part of a hotel bedroom.
Bilbao's oldest hotel
The Petit Palace Arana Hotel is the oldest one in Bilbao. It is an emblematic building dated middle of the 20th century and located in the city center, just in front of Arriaga Theatre, between the Old Part and the Ensanche, in the most commercial and centric part of the city.
High Tech Hotels asked Architect Antonio Frutos the renovation of the old building where Arana Hostel was giving accomodation service from 1850. Frutos, as person in charge of the architecture projets of the hotel chain, starting working together with Angel Gorostiaga, an architect from Bilbao. It wasn't an easy task at all, but they both liked challenges and this one meant a motivation, as the bad stated of the building required a recomposition from the beginning of existing elements. Frutos and Gorostiaga found that foundation was a good one, a framework of wooden beam from Guinea and a brick staircase that had endured 150 years of ups and downs. A hotel with plenty of history, indeed.
We, at Sellex, are happy and proud to be part of the history of Bilbao, by participating with our LA LITERAL folding bunkbed in the hotel with most history of the city.
