The emblematic Hotel Selomar in Benidorm (Spain), now renamed Barceló Benidorm Beach, has reopened its doors after a comprehensive renovation that has modernized its facilities. With an investment of more than 27 million euros, the hotel, managed by the Barceló Group, stands out for its modern design and orientation towards adult clients.
The interior design of the hotel, which pays tribute to Benidorm in the sixties, combines pastel tones, bluish colors and light wood; and incorporates functional design elements among which HANDY stands out. With 528 white units distributed throughout the rooms, this lightweight and stackable stool designed by Stephen Philips (Arup), offers a practical and aesthetic solution that complements the hotel's interior architecture.
The Barceló Benidorm Beach has 264 rooms and exclusive spaces such as the B-Heaven rooftop bar, a pool and solarium area with impressive views of the Mediterranean. After years of closure, the hotel is positioned as a luxury destination and is once again a landmark on the beachfront of this popular coastal city. At Sellex we are pleased to be part of this second chance for the hospitality installation.
